Planning a wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and at Gemini Photography, we’re happy to assist you by sharing trusted recommendations and lessons learned from our years behind the camera.

Please keep these tips in mind as you plan the luxury wedding celebration of your dreams in the Cleveland area!

When you begin planning your Cleveland-area wedding, we always recommend booking your major vendors first, including your venue, your wedding planner, your photography and videography team, and your DJ or entertainment.

Vendors:

Please set aside all of your day-of details together to be photographed. Items to include are your rings and any other jewelry (as well as the boxes or a jewelry tray), your invitation suite, a tie and cufflinks, a watch, handkerchiefs, extra florals, and any special or sentimental items.

Details:

We recommend allowing at least 30 minutes of extra time in your wedding day timeline for hair and makeup services. We don’t want those final touches to feel rushed!

Timing:

If you’re dreaming of a wedding held outdoors, consider a June, September, or early October wedding date. Don’t forget to make alternative plans in case of rain!

Outdoor Weddings:

Deciding whether or not you’d like a “First Look” as a couple prior to the ceremony is pivotal when creating the timeline of your wedding day as a whole. If you choose to do a First Look, that leaves ample time for portraits before the wedding ceremony. If you elect not to see each other before the ceremony, it’s important for your photography team and your wedding planner to work together to schedule adequate time to accomplish family portraits, wedding party portraits, and couples portraits between the ceremony and reception.
